How to Search

Our search engine makes it easy to find what you're looking for. You can search by author, title or ISBN and by selecting advanced search a combination of title and author.

To perform a search, click on the "Search" button.

By default the search is done on title only. If you want to search by author, click on the author radio button or if by ISBN click on the ISBN radio button.

Alternatively select advanced search and select the author and title for a combined search.

If you use more than one keyword our search engine will restrict the results to books that each match all the keywords you enter, for example:-

• Entering Practical Accounting will return results with Practical or Accounting in the selection parameters.?

Abbreviations

Some words in the titles of books, have been abbreviated, and these abbreviations should be used when conducting a search:

• DICT = Dictionary
• INTRO = Introduction, Introducing, Introductory
• SA = Suid- Afrika, South Africa, Suidelike Afrika, Southern Africa, South African
• USA = United States of America
• UK = United Kingdom
• GR = Grade/Graad
• INL = Inleiding
• STD = Standard/Standerd
• Refrain from using any special characters ( ! @ # $ % ^ & * () _ + ) while performing a search.

Hyphens are not used - with the exception of using it with titles starting with "A-Z", as well as for historical dates.

To register on the vanschaik.com site, click on SIGN UP beneath the Basket button.

Fill in all required fields and click on the SUBMIT button. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided.

After receiving the confirmation email click on the link provided inside the mail and it will take you back to the site telling you that your account has successfully been activated.

After activation you'll be able to login to the site and shop.

After finding an item that you like click on 'ADD TO CART' or 'I WISH' below the item to add it to your shopping Basket or Wish List.

To view your items in the Basket or Wish List, click on the BASKET or WISH LIST icon in the top right hand side of your screen.
