Giving back to customers

Marketing Manager of Van Schaik Bookstore, Margaret Vyver-Rambau, initiated a great "Random act of Kindness" for the company's annual Good Luck with Exams campaign.

Michelle Naidoo, Institute Relationship Manager at Van Schaik, assisted and through their relationships and valued suppliers, the company was able to assist students at universities and colleges with a 100 care boxes each.

The institution allocated it themselves, to the most appropriate students. This was very well-received, especially because the care packages included lots of stationery, Uber specials and even KFC vouchers, which also applied to Rewards members. The company is still receiving letters of appreciation from the institutions and students.

This initiative complements Van Schaik's mission to supply academic resources to all students in Africa via retail stores and digital channels, by utilizing their expert knowledge and well-developed infrastructure to deliver outstanding service.
