From 25 February to 3 April 2015 we will be running an exciting Facebook competition for students. As a student you have to take a photo with your textbook(s) bought at Van Schaik and post it on the competition page and you can win your share of R5 000. The first prize is R2 500, second prize R1 500 and third prize R1 000.

If you haven't applied for you Van Schaik Rewards Card yet, now is the time do so! All you have to do, is spend a R100 or more before 31 March 2015 at your nearest Van Schaik Bookstore (excluding vanschaik.com) to qualify for a R15 KFC voucher or A6 notebook at selected stores when you sign-up now.

Since Van Schaik Bookstore changed its logo in 2009 we started with the revamping and upgrading of our shops. With 60 shops countrywide it is a huge undertaking and has its challenges, but the end result is an overall better shopping experience for customers.

On 26 August Van Schaik Bookstore won the Sefika Academic Bookseller of the Year Award for the third consecutive year. This is also the first time for a bookseller to be presented with this award three consecutive times since the inception of the awards 14 years ago. The announcement was made during the awards dinner of the annual South African Booksellers Association conference held at Coastlands Umhlanga Hotel and Convention Centre in Durban.
